Letter to Daughter for her Studies

My Dearest Daughter,

To write you this letter, my dearests, my heart is incredibly happy but sad at the same time; I’m proud and scared about what the future has in waiting for you. I would like to talk to you today not only as your father, but I also want to share with you how I learned all those things in my life, including the best time at school periods during years. My dear, in this letter I will be writing to you about your schooling, your goals and dreams, your bright future that is ahead of you provided you decide to work hard towards your studies.

First, let me remind you of something you may already know: you are the light of my life. Since the time you were born you have made a very special place for yourself in the family. Every single day I thank the stars for blessing me to watch you grow all this while. You are smart, talented, and have so much one can offer. And it is this potential that I want to discuss with you today for this is what will give you success and happiness.

Studying does not only mean enrollment, books and tests; it is the cornerstone upon which your desired life will be created. Education is not merely important in the present world- it is crucial- a basic right that means liberty, free spiritedness and opportunity. My dear daughter, schooling is not just about getting best scores but it is about building your character, identifying yourself and preparing for what is in store for you.

Sometimes, there will be moments when learning becomes quite frustrating, when there are hundreds of tasks to complete, and when there are such exciting things to do instead of a boring, difficult lesson. Oh, don’t worry, dear, every single moment you spend on your books is bringing you closer to the desired goal and dream. Remember always, you don’t become an overnight success; it takes time, effort, dedication and self belief, every step of the way, every single day.

I also understand that often an individual is alone on the way and the pressure is on the person’s own shoulders. However, the following message must not be lost in your sight that you are never in this journey alone. The fact of the matter is your family is here just to encourage you, lift you up, and applaud you from behind. When you are discouraged or confused, just remember how many things your mother and I have given up to make it possible for you to have the chances of success you currently have. We are with you and for you when you require someone to guide you or push you when you are losing confidence.

My dear as you move to this next important phase of your life I want to appeal to you to take your studies very seriously. In today’s world, options available to you now are different from those that will be there tomorrow or the day after. Indeed, time is your biggest asset and it is well knowing that once it has been spent, then it cannot be compensated. Make every moment count. If you have an opportunity to study or to have fun right now, you should choose the former because in the future you won’t regret about such decision.

To get a clear picture of a long-term goal, one deserves to think about the life that they are willing to lead. Do you have visions of a great career, being able to support yourself or find a job, or change the world? Whether you wish to be a professional footballer, a commercial pilot, an astronaut or an engineer, it all begins with the education you get today. Education is the building on which you are going to build your future. Yes, every hour you spend in learning, you are getting closer to having the life which you have always wanted.

Allow me to tell you a short story. Once upon a time though there was a girl who had many difficulties in her learning process. She used to live a miserable life, something that shaped her destiny, and there was little she could easily access. But she dreamt of a becoming a doctor. But she didn’t give up; she dedicated her time, spent her free time, and even time into the night studying to achieve those dreams. Today, she is a very successful doctor, who has saved so many people and definitely enjoys and has a goal in her life. This girl’s story shows that sophistication in work and deep determination together with self-belief would make it possible to succeed in life. Like I have said, you too can choose your success story.

One of the most important things I’ve come to realize and hold dearly to my heart is that talent alone is not enough it requires toughness and perseverance. One key message you get from Sosa’s speeches is that intelligence is not a measure of success; all that matters is determination. And that my dear daughter is why you have what it takes to overcome any challenge as long as you commit your heart and soul to it.

I just feel like I should remind you about goals to give priority and direction into what you do. If a learner is not directionless, he or she can easily get distracted and discouraged. It is therefore important that you spare sometime and jot down at least what you wish to achieve in a month, the next year and the next five years at most. List down your goals and scratch out a paper copy you will be able to see on daily basis. These should be your visualization goals, so whenever you feel tired or uninspired, you are reminded of your purpose and what you want.

It is also not wise not to organize itself and show discipline when required. Make a study timetable and try to follow through to the letter. Divide your activities into nuggets and accomplish those in steps, one after the other. Do not procrastinate and do no let anything get in your way as they will take away your most valuable asset – time. Anyway, do not forget that every time you waste on social networks or TV, you could train, study or do something that will bring you a closer to your goals.

My sweet girl, I want you to realize that it is perfectly alright to fail or to be confronted wit The opposite of good isn’t bad, it’s ugly. In the same way, the opposite of success is not failure, but trying and going through the failure process. It is what you do to these challenges that counts. From mistakes as well, grow and move on to better things and search for other better and more productive ways. Endurance and effort will carry you farther than you could ever dream of getting to.

Lastly, I want to leave you with this thought: education is a blessing and it is not everyone in the world that is privileged to be educated. It never ceases to amaze me, how many children want to go school, but they cannot because factors beyond their control deny them the chance. This is your opportunity to fully learn, develop, and be what you want to be in your lifetime. The privilege must be appreciated by devoting appropriate attention to the studies.

My sweet angel, you have the brightest future ahead as the energy and brightness of the sun and I see you fit to touch the sky. Honestly, I trust you with all I am and I know you are capable of making immense achievements. So, I’m telling you to promise me now that you will do your best in your studies, that you will always love and fight for them and never forget your goals in life.

The world you to be something great, my dear. It is waiting to see the great things you will achieve, the number of people you will impact positively as well as the impact you will create. But it’s all here with the exercising and studying to create the life you desire and the life you will have.
